I know that I have not written forever but who honestly wants to hear about the things I do all day? Dishes, laundry, and the changing of multiple diapers is not the fun to write about so unless something funny or exciting happens in my day you are on your own to ponder what it is that we are up to.
You must be able to deduce that if I am sitting here writing I do have a few things that happened recently that I think are somewhat funny.
First, I love to watch Dr. Phil and Oprah, yes you can make fun of me all you want, but I just love to watch these shows probably because I am nosy and like to know what is happening with other people. However, all this is somewhat beside the point. I was watching Dr. Phil recently when suddenly Conner springs from the couch and runs to television hollering, "Poppa, Poppa." Now for those of you who don't know my family or Joe's family Dr. Phil has an uncanny resemblance to most of his grandpas and great-grandpas. On Joe's side they all share the same hair line as Dr. Phil and my dad has a very similar well kept mustache. So now my son is under the impression that Dr. Phil is somehow one of his "Poppas" and lets me know this everyday from 3:00 to 4:00. Now as for Oprah, Conner believes she is his aunt Nicole. How this connection was made I am still trying to figure out but for the hour of Oprah that we watch she is his "Cole." Do you think that we could claim her as family now?
Second, we went to the park yesterday with several friends and the kids were all fighting over the same ball. Well leave it to my imaginitive son to look in the sky and see the moon in it's round glory and start screaming "Ball" and stretching his arms for it as if it were just out of his reach. When his attempts at grabbing the so called 'ball' from the sky failed he then employed his mother, aka me, to try and grab it for him. It took some serious efforts to distract him from the great ball in the sky and with that we said farewell to the man in the moon until another day.
